    1980's Washburn Status 1000 Series

    MADE IN USA
    This is an AMAZINGLY CLEAN Washburn headless bass.  Similar in style to the Steinberger headless basses of the period.  However, this style has a full body    Serial Number:  890808820. There are really no marks to speak of on this bass.  Straight Neck.  Plays very well.  Great Frets.
    As seen, it has a through the neck one piece construction.  The center through the neck piece is black and the bottom and top bouts are a two tone natural wool construction as seen in the photos.  The front of the bass is a darker wood which looks like possibly a Hawaiian Koa which was popular back in this period, but I am no wood expert.  The back is a lighter wood.  the finish on this bass is amazingly clean.  The brass hardware is also very nice.
    Quite honestly, it would be so tough to upgrade to a nicer bass.  This bass has never seen much playing time in its 35 years of existence.  The hard shell case is also excellent.
    The bass comes with the original owner's manual and warranty registration.
    The strings are fresh.
    This guitar is out of my personal collection as I must downsize.  I would easily grade this fine bass at a to 9++++ condition on a 1-10 scale.
